Seniors Connect Program
Engages older adults in creative and social activities as well as provide opportunities for participants to learn new skill and connect with others.
Weekly activities held every Friday morning at the 4 George Street Centre.
Early Connections Hub Program
The Program aims to improve pathways and connections for families experiencing vulnerabilities to access early childhood education, health and development services.
Community Connect Program
Community Connect workers are based in Neighbourhood Centres to support to individuals and families with complex needs. This service helps link people to community and specialist support services, through referrals and tailored support.
Targeted Family Support Program
The Program consists of counselling support and provides information, advice and referrals to help strengthen the family unit.
Family Support Program
The Family Support Program aims to improve the well-being and safety of children, young people, and their families by strengthening families' capacity to care for and protect their children
Integrated Family Support (IFS) Hub
The Integrated Family Support HUB (IFS HUB) Program works to support outcomes of family and children’s wellbeing by providing information, enabling early identification of issues, providing holistic responses for families and enhancing referral pathways to services in the Mackay region.
Multicultural Community Program
The Neighbourhood Hub Multicultural Community Program is a part of the Community Action for a Multicultural Society (CAMS) network. This network of multicultural community workers undertake systemic and group advocacy and community capacity-building activities for the benefit of Queenslanders from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds (CALD) delivering and strengthening community connectedness across the state.
Migrant Settlement Program
The Migrant Settlement Program supports newly arrived migrants in Mackay with their successful integration into Australian society through individual case management, group information sessions, driver awareness classes, advocacy, and ongoing support.
Whitsunday, Isaac and Mackay (WIM) Financial Empowerment Program
The Program provides ongoing support, information, and advocacy to individuals and families experiencing financial challenges due to unemployment, illness, over-commitment to credit, family breakdown, or credit disputes.
Community members can access professional financial counselling and financial well-being support to help navigate their way forward.
Emergency Relief Program
The Emergency Relief Program offers practical support during difficult times.
Community members facing financial stress can access food hampers, food vouchers, and fuel vouchers to help get back on their feet.
