The Program works to support outcomes of family and children’s well-being by providing information, enabling early identification of issues, providing holistic responses for families and enhancing referral pathways to services in the Mackay region.

The Program promotes the importance of positive care for children as well as supporting parents with information and helpful tips to support their child’s development in the early years.
PLAYGROUPS
Playgroups are supported with a variety of stimulating and educational activities while ensuring a welcoming environment for parents and their children to connect through conversation and play. Children will learn important skills needed for school.

Hello Baby! is a weekly social support group for new mums with babies from birth to 6 months of age to access support, information, and support social connections.
The Prep-Ready Kids Program forms part of the Multicultural Community Program and is hosted in Semester 2 of the school calendar year.
It is run during school terms and designed for families with kids aged between 4 to 5 years old.

WORKSHOPS & PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS
The IFS Hub Team have created a suite of Parent Information Workshops and Information Sessions designed to assist our parenting community gain an understanding of child development and various milestones for children aged 0 to 5 years old.
The purpose of these visit is for parents to gain a greater understanding of where their children should be tracking towards developmentally, and to assist identifying any delays in order to seek early intervention/assistance.

Each term, the Program celebrates different occasions and hosts special playgroups with activities centered around events such as NAIDOC week, Child Protection Week, Day for Daniel etc.
